I found that this stand would easily break in my luggage. Therefore, I cannot recommend that travelers purchase the Philips/Norelco Arcitec shaver if you expect it to survive in your luggage. There is also a travel case, which does not accommodate charging the shaver. If you travel a lot, as I do, you must carry both items, the stand and the travel case.
The stand is perfectly OK for use in a single location, just not for travelers.
To compound the problem, the stand is fragile and definitely expensive for what it is.
